Battle of the Blues

UNC-Chapel Hill versus Duke University, March 4 2007.

A seemingly evenly matched game trumped up by a decades-long rivalry. In lieu of my Canon Digital Rebel XTi, I brought along my trusty Olympus D-580 Zoom and tried to capture the peripherals of the game: ESPN got the newsworthy stuff.

Tyler Hansbrough, sophomore star of Carolina's team, cuts a piece of the net after the Tar Heels won the game and he received a ghastly bloodied nose. All eyes have been on him since he set foot on Carolina's court last year as a freshman, and he is infamous for receiving a relentless rain of rough fouls in every game.

If this is the beginning of March Madness, we may all need to be committed by April.

Since Traci set it up...

... she's laying claim to the first substantial post!
(Elger can feel free to fight her for it, but Traci would like to remind him that she has calves that have killed lesser men.)

Proving their worth through step.

In this segment of the show, several volunteers from the audience are selected to come on stage and be taught how to step. Fun and smiles with a variety of meanings behind them abounded.

"Is that your girlfriend over there? Perhaps if you dance for her, she will think you are HOT."
"Yes, yes! She will think you are sex-see."

The troupe prepares for one final dance, this time in modern stepping style.
