Battle of the Blues

UNC-Chapel Hill versus Duke University, March 4 2007.

A seemingly evenly matched game trumped up by a decades-long rivalry. In lieu of my Canon Digital Rebel XTi, I brought along my trusty Olympus D-580 Zoom and tried to capture the peripherals of the game: ESPN got the newsworthy stuff.

Tyler Hansbrough, sophomore star of Carolina's team, cuts a piece of the net after the Tar Heels won the game and he received a ghastly bloodied nose. All eyes have been on him since he set foot on Carolina's court last year as a freshman, and he is infamous for receiving a relentless rain of rough fouls in every game.

If this is the beginning of March Madness, we may all need to be committed by April.
